Luxury retreats for women ✦ Surrey, UK
Custom website and branding for a UK and overseas luxury retreat business.
Niki came to me with a clear vision for a luxury, welcoming retreat brand, but without an established visual identity or clear website structure. I developed the branding and visual direction from the ground up, including moodboards, colour palette, logo, typography and photography sourcing, before shaping the website around the growing retreat offering.
The website includes upcoming and past retreats, integrated booking functionality, a blog and gift cards. The retreat pages were built using flexible sections, allowing Niki to create and manage new retreats herself while keeping the site visually consistent.
The brand and website have continued to evolve since launch, with corporate retreats added alongside brand photography, including imagery I photographed during one of the retreats. The result is a website that has been able to grow with the business rather than needing to be rebuilt as it expands.
“A massive thanks to Carly for building me the most beautiful website”
“As a complete beginner with zero tech knowledge not only did Carly get my vision from the beginning but she bought it to life in the most stunning way.
I run wellness retreats, Avandra Escapes, and my guests find it so easy to use the platform to book and access all the information they need to ensure the journey from booking to arriving at any of our locations is seamless.
Carly is super patient, very encouraging and professional, her work is stunning and everything is on time and within budget. I cannot recommend Carly enough.”
Corporate consultancy ✦ Dubai, UAE
Tyde came to me at a pivotal stage of growth. With a strong brand identity and clear strategic positioning already in place, their existing DIY WordPress site no longer reflected the calibre of work they were delivering, or the level they were now competing at.
Operating alongside firms like PwC, Deloitte, and KPMG, the website needed to do more than look the part. It needed to make an immediate, compelling case for why a client would choose Tyde over the large consultancies.
The centrepiece of the project was 'Why Tyde', a page designed to communicate what made their approach different. Rather than relying on standard consulting layouts and static graphics, I created a series of bespoke animations around their methodology, framework and way of working.
Counselling services for adults and children ✦ Surrey, UK
Brand direction and bespoke website design and build for an independent counselling service.
I focused on creating a calm and supportive user experience for Madeleine's clients, from colour palette and typography through to structure and content guidance.
Madeleine was clear that she wanted a simple website where clients could quickly find the information they needed, particularly during what may already be a stressful time in their life. Making it easy for potential clients to get in touch or book a session was a key priority.
The result is a bespoke two-page website that keeps everything clear and easy to navigate, while creating a welcoming and professional first impression.
Children's play café ✦ Bournemouth, UK
Rebecca was launching Wild Ones, a brand new children's play café in Bournemouth, and needed a website ready to start attracting local families from day one. With an existing brand identity already in place, the focus was on bringing it to life online and making the booking experience as smooth as possible for busy parents.
For a new business watching its outgoings, I helped select a booking system that was both affordable and functional, allowing customers to reserve sessions, make payments, and check real-time availability.
The website brings everything parents need into one straightforward place, from Stay & Play bookings and café information to private parties, opening hours and how to find the café. The structure was kept simple and easy to navigate, helping visitors quickly find the information they need while getting a feel for the new business at the same time.
“Carly was so helpful. I felt she just ‘got’ what we wanted.
I felt she really took the time to listen, and created such a beautiful website for us.
She helped us pick the best booking system and has since helped us update and amend things to make them work better for us as we grow as a company.
I would 100% recommend her if you’re looking for a modern take on how websites should be done. Thank you Carly!”
Childcare services ✦ London, UK
From one Carly to another! I was delighted to help Carly communicate her genuine passion for childcare and over 15 years of expertise. With no existing website or branding, we started from a blank canvas to create something that felt like her.
I developed a colour palette that felt playful and warm without being predictable, and typography was chosen to feel approachable and friendly, while keeping the site easy to navigate for parents doing their research.
Carly had a wonderful bank of existing imagery, which brought the site to life in a personal and human way that stock photography never could.
“Carly was meticulous from start to finish and was always offering the best possible advice, even guiding me in areas I may not have thought about.”
“She listened carefully to what I was trying to achieve and ticked every box immediately.
Carly was always available throughout the process and made changes and updates promptly whenever needed. Even months down the line, she was still available to make further updates.
I am now in the process of using Carly again for another business website and am confident that all my needs will be met once again. Highly recommend.”
Online resources for working mums ✦ London, UK
Coleen, a soon-to-be-author, reached out to me to build her a custom resources website to accompany her new book 'Survive and Thrive for Working Mums'. The aim was to create a dedicated online space offering practical support and resources for working mothers, while building awareness around the book and its wider message.
She came to the project with the beginnings of her content and a clear sense of what she wanted the website to offer, but without an established visual identity or defined structure.
A key part of the project was the dedicated resources section. With the intention for the library to grow over time, I considered how resources could be grouped and filtered so visitors can easily find what they need without the site becoming difficult to navigate as more content is added.
The website has been built with that future growth in mind, with scope to introduce further content such as a blog, podcast and additional resources as the project develops.
“Carly developed a fantastic website for me that I am thrilled with.”
“Her approach was strategic and systematic ensuring the website layout and functionality was user friendly and future proofed.
A pleasure to partner with, I can't recommend Carly more highly!”
